The Faculty of Economics Observes International Labor Day

In comply with observing the international days and as part of its commitment to help in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Afghanistan, the Faculty of Economics at Al-Taqwa Institute of Higher Education celebrated the International Labor Day on May 1st, 2024 to honor the nation's workers and their contributions to the well-being of the country in general and to appreciate the hard work and dedication of the support staff working with Al-Taqwa Institute of Higher Education in specific. The economics faculty leadership, lecturers, support staff, and a large number of students from the economics faculty came together to celebrate this vital day that has a global focus and importance.  After World War II, the International Labor Organization (ILO), a UN agency dedicated to improving working conditions worldwide, adopted International Labor Day as an official event. International Labor Day, also known as Workers’ Day, falls on May 1st every year and is celebrated by people around the world. International Labor Day remains a vital platform to recognize the contributions of workers, advocate for their rights, and promote a fairer and more sustainable future of work for all. ‘’We heartedly recognize and appreciate the hard work and dedication of our workers that play a pivotal role in the advancement of teaching and learning journey across the university’’ said Dr. Sayed Abdul Moiz, the Dean of Economics Faculty at ATIHE. Al-Taqwa Journal of Social Sciences Receives Certificate of National Accreditation

The leadership of Al-Taqwa Institute of Higher Education (ATIHE) is delighted to share with you that ATIHE has achieved a significant milestone by becoming the fourth educational institution, out of a total of 140 universities and institutions, to receive the prestigious Certificate of National Accreditation for its academic journal, the Al-Taqwa Journal of Social Sciences. The evaluation process for the National Accreditation took place on October 29, 2023, when a distinguished delegation from the Department of Research, Compilation, and Translation of the Ministry of Higher Education visited our institution. Following a transparent assessment, the assessment report was submitted to the Research, Compilation, and Translation Scientific Commission of the Ministry of Higher Education. Based on their decision, the Al-Taqwa Journal of Social Sciences was deemed worthy of the national accreditation certificate. We are pleased to inform you that the certificate was presented to Mr. Khushal Javad, the respected Chancellor of ATIHE, in his office on January 7, 2024. The certificate was handed over by Dr. Lutfullah Khairkhwa, Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs of the Ministry of Higher Education, and Dr. Hamidullah Muzamal, Head of Research, Compilation, and Translation of the Ministry of Higher Education. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the academic and administrative staff for their unwavering dedication, tireless efforts, and commitment to academic excellence. This achievement would not have been possible without your hard work and contributions. We assure you of our continued support for your research and development endeavors. It is better to highlight that the Al-Taqwa Journal of Social Sciences received its license from the Department of Research, Compilation, and Translation of the Ministry of Higher Education on June 1, 2022. The PDC Center at ATIHE Empowers Faculty and Staff with Successful Research Skills Development Workshop

The Professional Development Center (PDC) at Al-Taqwa Institute of Higher Education (ATIHE) organized a seven-day workshop on Successful Research Skills Development. The workshop aimed to enhance the research capabilities of lecturers and administrative staff at ATIHE. The workshop began with a recitation of a few verses from the Holy Quran, followed by the opening speech of Mr. Khushal Jawad, the Chancellor of ATIHE. He delivered an insightful speech emphasizing the complexity of the research process and the importance of acquiring diverse skills for successful research. Mr. Jawad highlighted the significance of active participation in such workshops, as they contribute significantly to the capacity building of the faculty and administrative staff at ATIHE. Moreover, Mr. Mohammad Naseer Haidari conducted the workshop, covering the following topics: 1.      Topic Selection for Research Proposal 2.      Research Title Writing 3.      Hypothesis Development 4.      Types of Research 5.      Abstract Writing for Research The workshop included an interactive question and answer session, providing participants with the opportunity to seek clarification on the discussed topics. Mr. Haidari responded to the questions raised, ensuring a thorough understanding of the workshop content. Finally, Mr. Abdul Hameed Seerat, the Vice-Chancellor of Academic Affairs at ATIHE, expressed gratitude to Mr. Haidari for his comprehensive workshop. He emphasized the importance of individual capacity development for both employees and the overall improvement of the institute. Mr. Seerat encouraged all participants to apply the acquired knowledge and skills in their research endeavors. At the end of the workshop, participants were awarded certificates of participation as recognition of their active engagement and commitment to professional development.
