The Faculty of (ATIHE) were provided with The SPSS Workshop!

The Professional Development Center, in collaboration with the Research and Development Center at Al-Taqwa Institute of Higher Education (ATIHE), organized an academic workshop focused on the utilization of SPSS Software on Nov 20, 2023. The workshop aimed to enhance the knowledge and skills of the institute's leadership and faculty members. The workshop commenced with an inaugural speech by Dr. Abdul Hameed Seerat, the Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs at Al-Taqwa Institute of Higher Education. Dr. Seerat delivered a comprehensive address, emphasizing the significance of professional development and its pivotal role in the academic growth of lecturers and administration. He reiterated the institute's commitment to providing ample opportunities for the professional advancement of all faculty and staff members. Mr. Mohammad Naseer Haidari, the Head of the Research and Development Center at ATIHE, led the workshop sessions. Mr. Haidari provided detailed insights into the functionalities of SPSS, including the Data Editor, Output Viewer, Syntax Editor, and Script Window. The workshop spanned three days, offering a balanced blend of theoretical knowledge and practical application. The SPSS workshop successfully concluded, equipping participants with enhanced proficiency in utilizing the software for data analysis and statistical modeling. At the conclusion of the workshop, all participants were awarded certificates, recognizing their active participation and successful completion of the program.   The Professional Development Center and the Research and Development Center at ATIHE remain dedicated to fostering continuous growth and providing valuable learning opportunities for the institute's faculty and staff.

Study-tour to Maihan Steel Mill - Kabul

Steel production is one of the most significant industries of a country. Most of today’s advanced nations have had speedy economic growth after they have established the steel industry. This has been the case with both South Korea and Taiwan. The establishment of such important industry in Afghanistan is challenging on one hand and promising on the other. On Wednesday, November 15, 2023, the Department of Business Administration (BBA) arranged an academic tour to Maihan Steel Mill, one of the first steel manufacturers in the country, so that the students of business and economics could see the methods of managing steel companies and comprehend the important role of steel industry in the economic development of the country. After the students toured the production chain and other facilities of the factory, the leadership of Maihan Steel Mill, sat with them for the lunch. They explained the importance of steel industry for Afghanistan’s rebuilding efforts and encouraged the students to pursue their education with interest and enthusiasm. “Since the country is moving towards development and there is need for a young and bright cadre to lead the rebuilding efforts,” said Dr. Sayed Abdul Moiz, Al-Taqwa University’s Dean for the Faculty of Economics.At the end of the tour, Dr. Abdul Moiz thanked Maihan Steel’s external relations representative (Mr. Hamid Fazly) for the hospitality and his sincere cooperation in facilitation of the visit.   Towards a Promising Future…     

The Dean of Economics Faculty Participates in ITA Global Meeting

The Economics Faculty Dean (Dr. Sayed Abdul Moiz) participated in International Teachers’ Association (ITA) Global virtual Meeting on November 07, 2023. The agenda of the meeting was to discuss how academic institutions integrate best practices in academic programs and how Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are prioritized and supported in teaching and learning initiatives. Dr. Abdul Moiz is the VIP member of the ITA in Asia and represented Al-Taqwa Institute of Higher Education in the Global Meeting. SDGs Club Visit to Kahkashan-e-Adab High School

The Faculty of Economics in collaboration with SDGs Club at Al-Taqwa University visited Kahkashan-e-Adab High School on November 6th in Jalalabad City to deliver an awareness seminar on United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals to the students of the said school. Around 40 students of different classes participated in the seminar. The school administration thanked Al-Taqwa University for taking active part in the community. The administration of the said school also thanked SDGs Club for delivering such a vital seminar and raised awareness on Sustainable Development Goals among the students of school. Business Incubation Center On Boards Local Startups

The Faculty of Economics at Al-Taqwa University, according to its BIC plan, on boarded 10 micro and small startups from the local community in the Business Incubation Center. The 10 startups will be assisted in the BIC for the free trainings and one-to-one mentoring sessions for a period of six months. The Business Incubation Center will closely work with the newly on boarded businesses to standardize all the elements of their respective businesses and enhance the quality of the products they offer in the local markets. Faculty of Economics Arranges a Study-tour to Omaid Bahar Production Company, Kabul Afghanistan

The Faculty of Economics at Al-Taqwa University arranged a study tour to Omaid Bahar milk and juice Production Company located in the capital Kabul on Wednesday, November 01, 2023, to help students understand the production process, raw materials, recycling process, and quality of customer satisfaction. Dr. Sayed Abdul Moiz, Dean for the Faculty of Economics, Mr. Arif Ullah Shinwari, Head of Banking and Finance Department, Haji Abdul Rahman, Company Deputy Director and Production Process Engineer of Omaid Bahar Production Company accompanied students on this tour.
